Pia once tried to instigate a birthday week, now that i think about it, it's not such a bad idea. Luckily this week has been pretty awesome and it ended with my birthday!
I guess it all started at the opening of a new exhibition at Ilios Gallery. I was allowed to display one of my images in the theme of 'Glimpses of a Journey', or simply put, travel photography. I chose an image I took while in Japan and was over the moon to be mentioned in the opening speech due to the fact that I took it with my iPhone! So I told my little story and after the formalities had a great time chating all things travel, photography, pizza and beer. Holly, Jase and Jon were kind enough to drop by and we headed to the Front afterward for a bit of live music.

Then Friday night it was off to the Floriade NightFest after some drinks at Muddle. Luckily great company made it a great night......I'll leave it at that!!
Of course the event we'd all been waiting for was the house warming party of Rach and Candey, with a lounge theme it saw a few of us dress quite smartly, then get quite messy. Here's a selection of the less incriminating (don't want our future employers to get a hold of anything bad do we........).
Technically my birthday began at the party, but it wasn't until the next day that I found out about my little surprise. Holly had organised a lunch with the best people I know at Poachers Pantry. Although I was a little fragile it was a treat and we finished up with some quite ales at the George.
Of course it had been decided that the country deserved a public holiday in lieu of my Sunday Birthday so Monday was a day off!! Kingston bound for breakfast and then an afternoon ride on the Ritchey to top it off.
Another year older, still learning. Thanks Holly.
